Still having significant problems with Default Settings not applying correctly. Default Settings will either sometimes not apply at all, or randomly be removed from the Rainmeter.ini for no apparent reason.

I responded to that already.
Default settings are only applied when the entire section (including the section name) does not exist in the settings file. So if you the skin you are loading has an entry in the settings file, no default settings from the skin file are applied.
