Hello. I would like to use the player in the mond skin. (I use Spotify) but the timer/duration/progress, isn't working. It never has and I can't find a skin that has a working timer. I have looked on the forum, but I am not very technical and don't totally understand things. I would like to add a timer to my player skins, but I have never been able to figure out how. Any help would be appreciated. At least with the mond player.
Thank you so much. I don't know how to attach the code here... but if anyone uses the mond skin, its the player.

Re: Help with mond skin
I would suggest installing this updated Mond suite Mondtholomew. It corrects many issues with the original.

Thanks for your reply. Sadly, it still doesnt display the timer. But thank youeclectic-tech wrote: ↑June 20th, 2023, 3:42 am I would suggest installing this updated Mond suite Mondtholomew. It corrects many issues with the original.
Must because of the Spotify thing, I don't think a timer has ever worked for it. I guess.

The Mond player uses the NowPlaying measure, which no longer supports Spotify.
For full support of Spotify, the WebNowPlaying plugin must be used.
First add the file below in Documents \ Rainmeter \ Skins \ Mond \ Player.
Then right-click the Rainmeter icon in the taskbar and choose Refresh all.
You have 2 ways to use Spotify:
1. The easiest way is to use Spotify Web Player.
Install WebNowPlayingRedux.rmskin (currently 2.0.7) and the plugin will be installed automatically:
https://github.com/keifufu/WebNowPlaying-Redux-Rainmeter/releases
Then install the browser extension:
Chrome: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/webnowplaying/jfakgfcdgpghbbefmdfjkbdlibjgnbli
Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/webnowplaying/
Then load the PlayerSpotify skin.
2. The second way is to use Spotify Desktop Player.
Here you have 2 options:
2a.Install only the latest version (currently 2.0.7) of the WebNowPlaying plugin (see link above).
Then load the PlayerSpotify skin.
Note:This solution allows displaying only one artist name if the song has several artists !
2b.For full support of Spotify Desktop Player you must install version 1.2.0 of the WebNowPlaying plugin and Spicetify tool.
Install WebNowPlayingRedux_1.2.0.rmskin and the plugin will be installed automatically:
https://github.com/keifufu/WebNowPlaying-Rainmeter/releases/tag/1.2.0
Install Spicetify:
1. Access the link: https://www.deviantart.com/xenium-art/art/Advansity-UPDATED-09-FEB-2022-847234085
2. Follow the Spicetify installation instructions (see point 2) in the Music Player-Spotify Desktop Player section.
Carefully read the instructions for the first command!!
At the end, if the commands were entered correctly in PowerShell, Spotify will restart.
Then load the PlayerSpotify skin
Note: When Spotify updates, follow the instructions: https://spicetify.app/docs/getting-started/#updating

Hello. I tried options 2/2b. And it didnt work. Still no timer, and no artist name etc.xenium wrote: ↑June 20th, 2023, 6:11 am The Mond player uses the NowPlaying measure, which only partially supports Spotify.

PlayerSpotify.ini
I can't try the webplayer option because it spotify webplay has never worked well on my computer in any browser, the music is cut off and glitchy.
I will try option 3, though i have tried Spicetify before in the past with no luck. I will have to try again some time but i am not hopeful. I prefer trying to get option 2 to work. But thank you for trying to help, I appreciate it a lot.
EDIT: Tried option1 the webplayer anyway, since it works ok on chrome. Installed the extension etc... but no luck. the skin is still not showing anything,

If you followed the instructions exactly, it should work.RoseRain wrote: ↑June 20th, 2023, 7:51 am Hello. I tried options 2/2b. And it didnt work. Still no timer, and no artist name etc.

For me, it works both with Spotify Web Player and Spotify Desktop Player
Spotify Web Player + Chrome + WebNowPlaying extension Spotify Desktop Player + Spicetify
Be sure to use the attached file, PlayerSpotify.ini !

Right-click on the Rainmeter icon in the taskbar and choose About, then the Plugins tab and see if the WebNowPlaying plugin is in the list of installed plugins.
Install this version of the Mond skin that supports Spotify and see if it works:

Re: Help with mond skin
This seems to be working with the Spotify WebPlayer. I can see the timer. But I can't get it to work with Spotify Desktop Player. According to your post, you mentioned an option 2a. That's what I really want to use, since I don't actually use the web player. I use desktop. But hey, at least it works with the webplayer, so know that I have the plugin installed at least haha. I see it in the plugin list.xenium wrote: ↑June 20th, 2023, 10:08 am Right-click on the Rainmeter icon in the taskbar and choose About, then the Plugins tab and see if the WebNowPlaying plugin is in the list of installed plugins.

Thanks for at least helping to get that working. Is there anyway to get it to work with the Desktop Player?
