Unable to create file & Install Fail

wound up accidentally loading a preset skin, and then when i went back to load a backup of my work i get 2 messages, the first is Unable to create file: xxxx, and the second is install failed

what have i done? and how do i get my work back?

You should be able to restore your old layout by..
- RainThemes on Rainmeter 2.0 (right-click tray icon -> Themes -> Manage Themes). Then load the 'AutoSave' theme. If that doesn't exist or work, try loading the Backup theme.
- Manage Themes on Rainmeter 2.1 beta (right-click tray icon -> Manage, then click on the Themes tab). Then load the 'Backup' theme.

If the methods above don't work, you can temporarily extract your backup (just change the .rmskin extension to .zip and extract normally) and copy the files to the correct locations. Hopefully I will be able to reproduce your issue and get it fixed for the next release.

autosave is now the default i loaded.

could not create file xxxx/thumbs.db
and its install thead failed

got it, thanks for the help, i was able to use other backup files to replace what it kept saying was missing. its back

now i just have to make copies and put it in obscure locations
