Well, I just got my school issued laptop. No administrator rights and so on.
Anyways, rainmeter just looks completely messed up. Some configs just aren't visible and some doesn't have the right font or colors, just the text.
Also, I should mention that Windows isn't activated for some reason, so I'm stuck with the Windows 7 Basic theme.

Might not be the best environment for Rainmeter.

Anyway I can solve the problem, though? Just wanted my desktop to look a little better, as wallpapers are constantly reset, and I can obviously not use visual styles without admin rights.

I personally doubt Rainmeter is ever going to work in a satisfactory way in your environment, but:
You might try uninstalling Rainmeter and installing it in "portable" mode, so you avoid some or all of the "privileges" issues since you have no admin rights.

I'm not sure how well Rainmeter is going to work in Windows "Basic" mode though. Possibly not well at all.

The rainmeter "installed" on this pc is just copied from my external HDD, so I'm quite sure it's portable, as it also loaded skins automatically, without creating it's own folder in "My Documents".

I would delete all that, then do a fresh install of Rainmeter in "portable" mode using the latest beta from http://Rainmeter.netZitozu wrote:The rainmeter "installed" on this pc is just copied from my external HDD, so I'm quite sure it's portable, as it also loaded skins automatically, without creating it's own folder in "My Documents".
If that works, and loads the default "illustro" theme successfully, then you can start adding the skins you have in your external hard drive.
