I'm having the same/similar problem:
When I try to install a theme, I get a box that says:
Run As...
[key] You do not have the necessary permissions to install the
components. You need to run this program as a different
administrative user in order to continue with the installation.
() Run the program as the following user:
User Name:
Password:
[OK] [Cancel]
After you enter a username and password in the box and click [OK], you get the following message:
Rainstaller
[X] Elevated process does not have administrative rights. [OK]
Clicking [OK] makes the symptoms all disappear and nothing happens or is accomplished.
There is only one user account, it has administrator privileges, and I am logged on to that account.
I can do installs from any other program with no problem. I had no trouble installing Rainmeter.
I tried creating another account and using it and that didn't work any differently.
