Google Web Fonts

Post by FlyingHyrax »

Found this through Twitter (Digital Inspiration tech blog) today, and wanted to share it for others who had not heard of it either:
Google Web Fonts

It's Google's collection of fonts optimized for web usage. It looks like it's primarily meant to be used with web design, but note the "Download Your Collection" button at the top right. You can go through, select fonts you like, and download the .ttf files all at once. All of them are open source and can be used for whatever you like.

Of course it doesn't have the 1000's of fonts that someplace like DaFont has, but they are all more clean and readable than some of the more "artistic" options on other free font sites.

I haven't spent much time going through it yet, but I think it's well worth checking out.
