Can anyone comment on whether checking hard disk every 30 second can cause stress on the hard drives? Thanks in advance.

Compared to how much Windows is already reading and writing to your hard drive every single second, the effect of Rainmeter on your drives is negligible. I usually do 60 seconds for my skins, but honestly, you're never going to notice a difference with normal usage.

Thanks for the answer. I just didn't want to put unnecessary stress on the new SSD i got.
