Reflective text

Post by McG00gles »

Hello all,

I just got an idea for a neat effect for an upcoming desktop. I found this wallpaper, http://wallbase.cc/wallpaper/485031 and that sparked the idea to have text and meters "reflected" on the side wall mirrors.

SO, my only question is how would I go about flipping meter's display to be backwards to gain the effect of reflection?

Many thanks in advance!

Sorry, Flip=1 has nothing to do with images.

He makes no mention of images, I popped my best guess for a meter in...
  • Line, Bar & Histogram Flip
  • Bitmaps, Buttons, Images & Rotators ImageFlip
  • You can invert text using Angle

Correct. I don't know why I read into his message that he was referring to an image meter. Anyway, as Seahorse says, there are several ways depending on the type of meter, but I caution that really good looking reflective text with for instance a transparency gradient and proper perspective, is not really possible with any of them. You are going to be firing up Photoshop or something to get that.

This is the song that never ends. It just goes on and on my friends. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was, and they'll continue singing it forever just because . . .

Ah, it looks like that Transformation Matrix will REALLY help me to sell the effect. Much appreciated!
