Direction of Line and Histogram

Post by sgtevmckay »

Hello again folks.

I am somehow certain this affects other Meters of the like.

I just finished (Finally) pouring over the 2.0 Manual, and unfortunately need to so so again ;)
In all of this, I did not find a solution to my current dilemma (not to say that it is not there, I just do not recall seeing one after 3 days straight of reading).

Currently (natively) Lines and Histograms move from right to Left in the visual output:

Is there a way to to adjust the read out course.
make the read out move from left to right?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do we need consider an additional Command like "Flip"

in this case;
ReadOut (or Direction)=0
this would be the native direction of right to left for the Visual Output

ReadOut (or Direction)=1
This would allow a readout to be seen as left to right for the Visual Output

Also; have this added to additional Meters as well/needed

Thoughts? | Suggestions?

You could use a transformation matrix.

The transformation matrix:

TransformationMatrix=-1;0;0;1;[HISTO];0

will flip any meter around. I've used it for both text and histograms. [HISTO] is a calc that changes the X direction. I think HISTO needs to be 2X where X is the original X position. But you may have to play around with the values.

Even thought it's possible with a transformation matrix, it would be awesome to have flip (or a new option to allow backwards compatibility) so it can be set to horizontal, vertical, or both. That would certainly make things a bit easier.
