Can rainmeter read dvd size like it does your hard drive?

Been working on a skin for a friend and I would like for the dvd drive to have the bar measurement like my hard drives. Thanks for any help :)

Sure.. Its a drive isn't it?

However, it might weird out if the drive isn't readable, for instance, if theres no disc in there. So you might want to include a calc that will disable the meter that shows the percentage in use if the dvd size is 0 bytes.
I have three rules when I'm trying to help you.
  • Don't get mad when you don't understand something
  • Be VERY specific with what you ask for.
The more specific you are, the higher the quality of support you receive.
  • Do not just copy and paste what I put in examples and come back saying it doesn't work.
It does work, but I purposely left blanks that you need to fill for your specific needs.

No, Rainmeter cannot use FreeDiskSpace to detect space total/used/free on CD or DVD. Only drives using the FAT / NTFS file system like a hard drive or USB flash drive.

About the only thing you can do is read the "volume label" of the disc with FreeDiskSpace. You can use that with a Substitute="":"-1" and then a Calc measure to determine if there is or is not a disc in the drive and / or display the label, but that's about it.
