Post by jesschen »

Ok, so I'm totally new to using Rainmeter and I've been trying to use Moxaweather and it's really really REALLY not working for me... :\
can some one provide like, really specific instructions to follow?

Hey friend,

You gotta be more specific than that. Where are you getting lost. Do you know how to get to the RainBrowser?

Go to the Rainbrowser menu, there you will see the list of skin folders. Select Enigma, select moxaWeather, and then under "Skins and Variants" you should have 3 options. Select the most suitable one for you in terms of looks. Click load skin. At this point you will be able to see the skin but the weather is probably not for your whereabouts.

The way i set it up to get to MY weather was ("As taken from the Internet"):

1) Go to http://weather.yahoo.com/ and type in your zip code (or your city).
2) If there is more than one choice, pick the one you want.
3) Locate the link "extended forecast" under "6-10 day" column. Click it.
4) Look at the URL address bar. You should see something like
www.weather.com/...../extended/xxxxxx
The 8-letter code xxxxxx should be your weather location code. In your case, it is USVA0262.

Now you have the code.

Do a middle mouse click button on the Enigma sidebar or Enigma taskbar and that will open a window called EnigmaConfigure. Find the WeatherCode and set it to the CODE we just got earlier. And voila??

Let me know what happens.

it's not the enigma moxaweather skin that I'm using. I downloaded this from this website: http://customize.org/rainmeter/skins/45767
if you need to look at the .ini file, I can post it for you.
