Help! Questions related to a weather skin

Post by asdtech153 »

I am working on a weather skin (I'm stripping down a Vclouds skin and messing with it) and I was wondering if it was possible to use .gif or some sort of animated image for my skin/meters associated with the skin.

What I'm basically trying to do is make my desktop/background reflect the weather condition outside (screen will be "rainy" when there is rain outside, snowing on screen when its snowing outside, etc..). I haven't posted any code because, well, i'm new & i'm literally just deleting parts of the coding & seeing if it works, yay for trail and... *cough* scientific experimentation.

Any type of help will be greatly appreciated, and if you want me to post the code of whatever I've done so far I will gladly do so.

PS. working with Vclouds Weather2 skin, props to the maker, its awesome!

*edit* - I apologize for not posting this on the help forum, I am an idiot, but I could still use your help, so thanks in advance & sorry for being a noob
