[Solved] Rainmeter Webparser ErrorCode=12029

Post by Llednar88 »

Hi everyone !

I am using Rainmeter since August and i had never troubles with it before yesterday.

My problem is that all HTTP based applications fails. Skins like weather info, RSS feed don't work anymore.

Here is a screen to help you understand :

Screenshot

The network is fine and I turned completely off my AntiVirus, Anti-Malware and Firewall .

I re-install Rainmeter a couple of times and i even upgraded it to the last version...

So i created a log file and this is what i get (for the screenshot):

I googled it and i found nothing.

My last hope is that someone on this board know the way to fix it :-( .

Thanks for reading me ;-) !

And I suppose you've read the FAQ?

Well, at the first place, no but i read it after your answer and i didn't find something to relate to my problem.

It's isn't due to the code of the skins because before i had the problem i didn't change it.

And all the skins relying on internet connection of all my themes doesn't work.

But, if it might help, here is some additional informations about my system :

I am running now Rainmeter 1.3 (previously 1.2 then 1.4).

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 64 bit.

My AntiVirus is Bitdefender 2010 and my FireWall is Zone Alarm Pro 2010.

For the monitor setup, i am working on a laptop.

I didn't change default folders of Rainmeter.

And no, i am not behind a proxy ;) !

If you want me to send the code files, tell me :) !

Well. It's either some new setting in Internet Explorer or something that is blocking webparser, seeing how no net-based skin works.

Wow :D !!!

I found it the problem thanks to you two :great: !!!

When JamesAC asked me if I was behind a proxy, I said no because i wasn't using one on Firefox (my main navigator).

But after your last answer, Chewtoy, i thought to check on Internet Explorer and bingo !!! But, everytime i was changing the proxy settings, it came back.

So i re-activated Bitdefender and did a scan on System Folders and bingo one more time :D ! I had a ***** malware on my computer.

After erasing it, i re-changed the settings in IE and all went fine :D !

But i never heard about a malware which change proxy settings  !

Anyway, thanks for the help  ! I owe you  !
