Simple Sentence Reader Issue

Post by muskiebait »

Hi -

I have been using rainmeter for around a year now, and I have a pretty good grasp on editing skins and such.

I use simple sentence to put three rss readers at the bottom of my desktop, and it has always been fine.

A couple days ago I upgraded to the newest version of rainmeter, and all three simple sentence readers started to put <![CDATA[(title of article)]]>

obviously the whole <![CDATA[ part is really annoying and i've been trying to get rid of it.

I tried to edit the skin and I've been messing around with the substitute= line, it seems to me that that's where the problem is, but I've had no luck in getting rid of the CDATA stuff.

Does anyone know how to get rid of it? or why an update in rainmeter would cause it?

I'm now thinking that there might be a default in rainmeter config somewhere that has always been set to defaulting to not show these type of characters but somehow that default got switched on before this release of rainmeter? Something like that maybe?

Anyway any help would be gladly appreciated!
