New Beginnings

Post by lolwut19 »

hi, I love computers, and plan to be a programmer/developer, but I'm only in high school at the moment.
Are all of you self-taught? If so, what did you use to teach yourself?
One more thing, if you could attach some of your favorite skins/themes so I can better customize my computer, I would greatly appreciate it.

:welcome: to the forums!

If you mean what I used to teach myself how to write Rainmeter skins (what very little I have learned, I'm no expert, haha), I download simple skins and dissect them, and modify them. You can learn all about how Rainmeter works by reading the all-knowing manual, but if you are brand new to Rainmeter the Rainmeter 101 is excellent has some skin building tutorials. For other questions, there is a Tips and Tricks section on the main website, as well as help and tips and tricks sections here on the forums.

You can find most of the best skins on the Rainmeter DevaintART group. Also, the commmunity chooses some of the best skins to be featured on the website's front page.
