rainmeter isn't starting

Get help with installing and using Rainmeter.

rainmeter isn't starting

Hi I just recently installed rainmeter v1.3 on my Windows Vista (32-bit) laptop, and the program, or whatever the specification is, hasn't shown up. Do I need to manually start it, or possibly restart my system? Any help is appreciated.

Did you install it by running the .exe installer file?

If so, is there a shortcut to Rainmeter in the Startup folder of your Windows Start menu?

I tried this, and the icon appears in the icon box on the task bar, but nothing appears on my screen.
As in no sidebars or anything associated with rainmaker

Right click on the Rainmeter logo in the taskbar / themes / pick either enigma or gnometer.

thank you, gnometer works but enigma does not for some reason
