Can someone help me because I can't open rainmeter. I just installed Rainmeter 1.3 on my unit and eventually whenever i open the program it always say "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect." I don't know what to do. I'm using Windows Vista 32-bit.
And also, if i open the plugins of rainmeter, it says "Rainmeter.ini not found"
What should I do?

Re: Rainmeter has failed to start.
First of all you should diagnose why you get an SxS failure.
There are some help on how to do that here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/junfeng/archive/2006/04/14/576314.aspx
'open plugins of rainmeter' ...eh?
The plugins only work in rainmeter, and I though you just said you couldn't run rainmeter?
Anyhow. My thesis would be that you have not been able to install VC++ redistributable correctly, and so rainmete can't start properly. And with that, rainmeter won't create a Rainmeter.ini (which tells what skins you have active and where).
But we'll know more when you've diagnosed it. (Just so you know, the 'test' they use in that guide is to be replaced with your application.)

I don't think, therefore I'm not.
