Help with Foobar Player + Playlist Skin

Post by PeanutButter »

Specifically, the one made by Chewtoy here http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2458&hilit=foobar

I can't seem to get the Track Title and Playlist to load in the skin. The track time, progress bar, and buttons work, however.

I could get foo_httpcontrol to work as well. (eg, I can access http://127.0.0.1:8888 and control Foobar from there and everything)

I followed the instructions that came with the skin, just that, I'm not terribly sure about the "Templates>Playlist Row" part.

Apparently, the Templates branch in the Preferences menu in Foobar has been removed in the later versions.

Thus, I just went ahead and configured the config file itself in the "AppData\Roaming\foobar2000\foo_httpcontrol_data\default" folder by opening with Notepad, and saved it without any changes in it's extension. If that's where I screwed up, please let me know~ D'8

All in all, I'd really like to get it working if possible. All help and suggestions are greatly appreciated~

whow... Someone actually downloaded that...

Right. Add this
foo_httpcontrol_data.zip
to your foobar200 folder.
If you've done like the instructions said, that should be the key.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
I don't think, therefore I'm not.

Hi i have the same problem
I got the http://127.0.0.1:8888 working but cant get rest to work.
I have change the config so it says
playlist_row<td class="p"> [%album artist% ]-[ %album% ]- %title% [ '//' %track artist%]</td><td class="t">- %length%</td>[<td class="q">%queue_indexes%</td>]
helper1=[%album artist% ]['['%album%[ CD%discnumber%][ #%tracknumber%]']' ]%title%[ '//' %track artist%]

Then i have one in AppData\Roaming\foobar2000\foo_httpcontrol_data\default
and one in \foobar2000\components\foo_httpcontrol_data\default

Mh. It seems to be terribly outdated. Give me a couple of days and I might have a fix for it.

i have some problems.
1 Cant find foo_winamp_shpeck is it foo_vis_shpeck you mean?

2 Open Preference -> Tools -> HTTP Control: Set "Bind to" to 127.0.0.1:8888 and check the box under it. my says: Listen on 127.0.0.1:8888 and the box says: Start server

3 Tools -> HTTP Control -> Templates: you are meaning %appdata%\foobar2000\foo_httpcontrol_data\default ?

4 The Foobarplaylist-Update.ini says
<td class="p"> [%album artist% ]-[ %album% ]- %title% [ '//' %track artist%]</td><td class="t">- %length%</td>[<td class="q">%queue_indexes%</td>]
and the link http://customize.org/rainmeter/skins/78909 says
<td class="p"> [%album artist% ]-[ %album% ]- %title% [ '//' %track artist%]<td class="t">- %length%[<td class="q">%queue_indexes%]
with is it?

Sorry about that.

1. Yes. foo_vis_speck. Thinking of spam and meaning speck is a bad combo.

2. That is correct behavior.

3. Copy the foo_httpcontrol_data to you foobar2000 folder in%appdata%
The template in the Preference menu should be "default".

4. <td class="p"> [%album artist% ]-[ %album% ]- %title% [ '//' %track artist%]</td><td class="t">- %length%</td>[<td class="q">%queue_indexes%</td>]
Is what it should be. And it appears that customize changes it.
