Wakatime Cross-IDE Coding Statistics

Post by IgorGreenIGM »

Hello guys!

I'm excited to share with you my first skin creation :D : a set of skins that display your coding statistics, time spent across your various coding projects, and programming languages. Additionally, these skins showcase your country and world wide leaderboard rankings, all of this fetched through the cross-IDE time tracking plateform wakatime.
As a part-time programmer, I've used wakatime for a while, so that I decided to create a skin to display all this stuff on my desktop, then this is the result 8-) !

More on the github repository.

Nice idea and implementation!

Out of curiosity, you need to always be logged in and online for wakatime to be able to count how much time you spend coding in a certain programming environment, right? Also, do you by any chance know how the counting is performed, e.g. by checking the running executables or, like GitHub, by analyzing the syntax of the code in the file you're writing in? :???:
