I haven't started it yet, but from just reading the procedures, does this step mean I have to install the Harmony Player skin? :
3. Select "Spotify+WebMusic" in the skin settings menu

No. Point 3 is for users who install the Harmony player.
After you enter the commands in Powershell and Spotify restarts, load the Meenimal skin and see if it works (of course by selecting webplayer in the settings)

xenium wrote: April 16th, 2024, 5:05 am Install WebNowPlayingRedux_1.2.0.rmskin and the WebNowPlaying 1.2.0 plugin will be installed automatically.
At the beginning of the installation, check the WebNowPlaying box, as version 1.2.0 to install over version 2.0.7.
Do I check this box?:

nb. I have v.2.0.7 already installed as you stated.

Just wondering how to exit out of PowerShell with a command - it seems stuck on' PS C:\Users\_->'

I Normally use the 'exit' command

I mean like a linux 'kill' command

Do not rush to close Powershell
Especially after the last command entered, the installation takes longer

Don't wory about this - I just ended task in task manager.

I saw this on this page - https://spicetify.app/docs/getting-started/ :
Updating

Spotify, every now and then, updates its client. Since we have no power over this process, you will likely need to re-apply Spicetify.

However, the update might have major changes to the client, which means you will need to run spicetify update (spicetify upgrade in Spicetify versions below 2.27.0) every time you update Spotify. If no update for Spicetify is available, it means that it either still works by simply running spicetify backup apply, or that we are still working on updating Spicetify to work on the new version.
I understand from this that there's a chance that when Spotify updates to a new version - that spicetify will no longer work until Spicetify is updated too.
It mentions 'update'; & 'upgrade' commands, but these seem to be linux/ubuntu commands. Do these commands also work in Powershell?

Btw, the new Spotify version works just fine in Meenimal as you suggested. Thank you!!

Well I left PowerShell a good 5 minutes, so I'm assuming it had fully installed. And the new version of Spotify works now (in 'web player' Meenimal settings - not 'spotify').
