I'm sure if you posted a question on Deepok's page (the link you provided), he would be able to answer your questions. Always best to go to the source!

Do you mean set up the weather for you location, or something else? If you gave more details on what is wrong maybe I, or someone else could help. I am a new user myself, but I am getting the hang of things.

you are on good trace. i mean that, but i also mean how to aply them either on my desktop to become usable. settings is pretty hard (lcation for weather, etc) i know i should copy some address into C:/Program files/Rainmeter... or something similar.Dragon12 wrote:Do you mean set up the weather for you location, or something else? If you're an absolute beginner, read this: http://rainmeter.net/cms/Rainmeter101
Read it even if you NOT an absolut beginner. It's a very good story. A little spooky at the end, but really awesome.

I don't think, therefore I'm not.

To change the weather to you location, do the following -
1. Go to - www.weather.com. Near the top is a search bar, type in your city. For this search I will use "sydney". The search might bring up more than one result. Click on the correct one, in My case Sydney, Australia.
2. At the top of the web page your Weather.com, should have changed to -
http://www.weather.com/weather/today/Sydney+Australia+ASXX0112
What you need to do is write down the last part - ASXX0112
3. If your weather is not showing up at all you need to right click on the rainmeter icon in the bottom menu bar and go to Configs > Everyday > Weather
And click on the weather.ini so it has a tick next to it. if it already has a tick leave as is it is on. Your weather might be showing just an "o" which means its on just not showing valid weather info.
4. When you find the weather info on screen (or the "o") right click on it to bring up the menu. Click on Skin Menu > Edit Skin. And a text box will come up.
The start of which will look like
[Rainmeter]
Author=Tyler J. Colby-Wolter
Update=1000
BackgroundMode=1
[Metadata]
Name=FlatWeather
Config=Flat | Weather
Description=Simple Temp. guage
[Variables]
WeatherCode=USNY0996
Unit=f
5. find the line Weathercode= and change the part after the = to the code you wrote down earlier from weather.com. Click on file > save. to save your code.
6. Right click on the weather info on the screen again and click on Skin menu > refresh skin.
7. Thats it! If you need the weather in degrees C instead, change the line Unit=f to Unit=c.
Hopefully you can follow that.
