How to snap meter to the desktop grid

Post by shift »

I have built a very simple photo widget for my desktop, and I already dislike the fact that I need to align it manually with my icons. I wonder whether it is possible to snap it to the desktop grid, or at least calculate that grid based from screen resolution provided in config. It would be also very useful in case I want to make desktop shortcuts by creating another skin.

There is no way to react to what Widows Desktop Manager does with your icons.

I never show any Windows desktop icons; right-click the desktop and uncheck 'Show desktop icons'.
You can add the 'Desktop' as a taskbar "Toolbar" to access any desktop links from there.
