Need some major help!!!
Ok im wanting to make a cool desktop but you see im not the most computer savvy individual. First off I want to get rid of everything on the desktop like Itunes and Firefox and the games and add them to one of those cool taskbars everyone has in rainmeter on the bottom/side/top. Second I want to get rid of the current original taskbar all together. If I can get those two things done then it will be a lot easier, so if anybody can help me or if there is a guide for extreme dummies on this it would be much appreciated!

Search the forum - guarenteed the information is there somewhere.
ObjectDock and RKLauncher both can hide the taskbar, but I'm sure there are other options as well.
You can hide all your icons.
For XP, right click on your desktop, Arrange Icons By--> Show Desktop Icons.
Uncheck it and they should disappear.
And just search 'Launcher' in this forum, or under Rainmeter on Customize.org or Deviantart.com.

If you want a total makeover of your desktop, I'd suggest switching from explorer to say, bbLean or LiteStep. This will give you more ability to customize pretty much everything.
But if you just want the docks, either ObjectDock for a (for me quite big) fee, or RocketDock for free.

I don't think, therefore I'm not.

Chewtoy, replacing the shell is not something that someone who is "not very computer savvy" should jump right into.

Zero at programing, zero at writing codes, so far 2 at making images

Well. The person said to be "not the most computer savvy individual", not a computer illiterate. ;)dragonmage wrote:Chewtoy, replacing the shell is not something that someone who is "not very computer savvy" should jump right into.
And really, both LiteStep and bbLean isn't all to hard. If you just want to change the look, install and that's it. Not all to hard, and even "not the most computer savvy individual" could do it. :)
