I installed Rainmaker quite a while ago ... displayed only the temperature on the monitor. It has worked fine until today. The degree symbol is still there, but the number is gone.
I downloaded and ran Rainmaker-4.5.8.exe ... do not recall what it does. I see in my notes:
MiniWeather => Hugh Mungus
Right-click the skin to show the context menu. Select "Custom skin actions."
=> "Edit weather variables" => change latitude=46.892645 and longitude=-100.833957
=> "Edit skin variables" => Change Scale=1.0 to Scale 0.5
=> replace Hugh Mungus with Just the Text
I do not recall any more details. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Display Temperature
The weather website changed... you need to edit the weather variables file and change the APIKey value.bhs67 wrote: ↑January 19th, 2022, 6:47 pm I installed Rainmaker quite a while ago ... displayed only the temperature on the monitor. Change the value to: APIKey=21d8a80b3d6b444998a80b3d6b1449d3
Save the file and refresh.

Re: Display Temperature
I'd like a description of what exactly I should change ... which file, what contents, etc. It's been too long ago. Thanks!

Re: Display Temperature
- Right=click the MiniWeather skin (any variant)
- From the skin context menu that appears, hover over Custom skin actions
- Click Edit Weather Variables
- Scroll down that file until you see the line starting with APIKey=
- Edit that line so it is: APIKey=21d8a80b3d6b444998a80b3d6b1449d3
- Save the file.
- Refresh the skin.

Re: Display Temperature
I right clicked, and it disappeared. I don't see any images to right click again. How do I have an image re-appear? Sorry for these simple questions.

Re: Display Temperature
If you are using MiniWeather those instructions will work.
The file you need to edit is Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\MiniWeather\@Resources\Includes\WeatherComJSONVariables.inc

Re: Display Temperature
I found WeatherComJSONVariables.inc. However, I do not know which instructions to follow. The MiniWeather link jumps to images, no instructions.

Re: Display Temperature
Great!
Now that you found the file, double-click it, or open it in a text editor (such as: notepad.exe OR notepad++.exe).
Now follow the second part of these instructions to change the APIKey value.
