QuickNote allows easy row manipulation and comes with some smooth transitional animations included. It also has a built-in checklist feature which you can use to make a to-do list.
You named this QuickNote, and mention it also has a built-in checklist feature. Unless I'm entirely overlooking some setting, I believe this skin has all the characteristics/functions of a to-do-list and is only, with some imagination, at best a rather limited notepad, on the side. Could just be me, but when I type out a note, I'd prefer to be able to actually read it - not just the first sentence with no option to even resize the window. Sooo.. pretty nice for "QuickLists", but mostly unusable as a notepad..
so you just wanted a full paragraph mode, alright!
