I created this little skin which shows the current microphone-level as well as the current speaker-level. I originally searched for an skin which shows my Mic-level but since I didn't find any like it, I created my own. It it based on the "AudioLevel Plugin" which is preinstalled with Rainmeter.
If you would like to use it just have in mind you may need to change the gain of the Mic-Input. I marked the section where you need to change it with an comment.
