Been gone a LONG time...

Post by Indigo-Glow »

Hello Folks...

I've been gone a long time, but haven't stopped using Rainmeter. I'm going to be working on a couple of new themes in 2020, as well as showing a friend how Rainmeter works. I've been watching several of you on DA even to this day, but haven't really been active on the site.

I just have a couple of questions, so that I don't flail around needlessly.

1. What coding language is Rainmeter written in these days?
2. Can anyone point me to a recent general theme that has the basics (weather, clock, system, time, network), so that I can get my friend up to speed with something fairly current? BTW my friend way more of a geek than I am, and he's good with code. I think he's really going to dig Rainmeter. (Side note: I like the LOOK of the new DA site, but I HATE that the Rainmeter category no longer works.
3. Is there anything else I should know about the state of Rainmeter here in 2020?

Many thanks for your responses.

#1 Same as always it has not changed.

#2 Look in the Share your creations https://forum.rainmeter.net/viewforum.php?f=27 lots of good stuff there.

#3 read the documentation for the new changes https://docs.rainmeter.net/manual/
