hello,
I've found that almost ALL the skins are WAY TOO BIG.
I'm running a laptop screen 1366x768.
Every skin is giant. I can't scale them at all as far as i can read, without editing the .ini file which is ridiculous.
For rainmaker to be successful one needs to be able to easily scale the skins. ?? Isn't that obvious??
Maybe I'm missing something. I'm not going to spend a bunch of time fiddling with .ini files just to scale the object.
Thus, for me, rainmeter, which is a very exciting work, is basically useless.
oh well. I'll just make some of my own simple skins at correct sizes for now.

No, actually, it's not really obvious. For rainmaker to be successful one needs to be able to easily scale the skins. ?? Isn't that obvious??
I mean, Rainmeter is already successful without having to support native scaling (a feature which some skin authors have created, check out some of Eclectic-Tech's stuff).
No comment.Maybe I'm missing something.
Rainmeter is useful for some people, isn't useful for others.I'm not going to spend a bunch of time fiddling with .ini files just to scale the object.

Yay! Now you've got the spirit!oh well. I'll just make some of my own simple skins at correct sizes for now.

First the bad news. [...] We would be happy to have this happen and would love to work with anyone who is feeling ambitious.
Now the good news.
I lied, there isn't any good news...

Thanks.
Sorry if I was a little frustrated sounding. I was so stoked to use rainmeter skins, but then when i tried many and they were all too large and not scale-able, i was really bummed out.
Don't have time to reprogram them, so I guess peace out.

Could you please post a screenshot, with, let's say, any illustro skin loaded? I'd be curios what means "giant".tcdoe wrote:hello,

I don't want to toot my own horn, but if you want scaleable skins, try these:

You can make 'em as small or as large as you want, no programming or manual tweaking required.

I have a 1366x768 and use AVENGERS S.H.I.E.L.D. 2.1 had to do next to nothing to make it work.

Laptop screen , everything is HUGE? Sounds like a dpi issue
Find & Right click Rainmeter.exe, go to Properties->Compatibility and check "Disable display scaling on High DPI settings"
edit: didn't realize it was an old topic, argh
