GMail Help (special characters)

Post by pizzamachine »

I've just downloaded RM today and got most of what I want setup by looking at other peoples code and/or modifying it to meet my needs while I am learning. However I cannot for the life of me get gmail to work. I do use special characters in my passwords and I've tried to use the ascii %## but that didn't work. I use @ and # in one of my passwords. Is there a way to work around this? I've even tried an account that does not have any special characters in the password and that did not appear to work either. I've tried probably about 10 different skins off of deviantart with no luck. Can someone please help me.

All I am trying to do is have a label like this with just text
GMail # and if it is more than 0 then the text would be a different color

You might try going here:

http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/dencoder/

And encode your user name and then your password.

Then use those encoded versions in [Variables] for your skin.

Don't encode the entire URL, that won't work. Just your name and password.
