I use a program called Launch Control (http://www.kinesys.co.nz/) for my shortcuts instead of having a lot of icons on my desktop. The problem is that its outdated and no longer being worked on. I tried to find something like it here but didn't have any luck maybe I'm overlooking it? Maybe someone will make one if it doesn't exist here?
This program lets you take your icons off your desktop and place them in a container you can make new bars for Games and drag all your game icons in it. It's clean looking and organized.
