Creating a skin package

Post by ms310 »

Hi - there is a great media player on Deviantart called Jot that has been compiled as Windows v10. I have asked him to compile it for Windows 8 but his reply "I cannot".

Is there any way to fix this? I have tried unzipping the skin (changing the file type to zip) and editing the windows version - but when I change the name back it seems Rainmeter knows I have messed with it and refuses to load.

The skin is here: http://marquesio.deviantart.com/art/Jot3-3-598794760

I have tried just unzipping it and placing it manually into my skins folder but the skin does not seem to behave - not everything is aligned correctly, the color picker plugin does not work, etc.

Now - I realize - maybe there IS something that is Windows 10 related that would not work in Windows 8 - but I find that hard to believe.

Could someone take a look? Is there anything to be done besides unzipping manually and trolling through the code to try and fix it? Its a really great Spotify media player.
