Eyes for Rainmeter

Post by Stone »

- This is eyes for Rainmeter (a clone of Xeyes):
Eyes_1.0.rmskin
- The new Atan2(y,x) by dgrace is used, so minimum required Rainmeter version is 3.2.0.2357.
- You can set the eyes size and color preferences in '@Resources\Eyes.inc'.
- An AutoIt addon (MousePos.exe) is used to get the mouse coordinates.
- Pausing the eyes with a left click terminates the MousePos process.

Two problems I haven't been able to solve:
- CPU load gets a little high when update is fast (<100 ms) or eyes are too large.
- 'Unable to bang unloaded skin'-warnings, when a skin is deactivated, and the mouse is moved at the same time. (Solution: Turn off warnings in Rainmeters About-dialog box :) )

Have fun

- Stone

New version available:
Eyes_1.1.rmskin
Version 1.1 change: Fawxy's MouseXY-plugin replaces MousePos.exe. That means no more 'Unable to bang unloaded skin'-warnings, and I think the CPU load has decreased a little ?

Wow, I've been thinking about how it would be possible to do this in Rainmeter, but didn't have the skillz.

Thank you for sharing

Can you make it so there is a gradient to the eyes?

The eyes are image files that you could open in an image editor program to add a gradient.

The other option would be to use a Shape meter for the eyes, and ellipse shape with a gradient fill.
