Re: Rainmeter IDEEA :-?
actually rainmeter can move smoothly, too. :geek:
if i am getting you right, you mean for example a skin that shows your CPU usage within a bar-meter. and you want that to show smoothly
:
simply decrease your update rate. 40 means that it updates 25 times a second; that is almost how many a film shows frames per second.
you could also use 56 as updaterate, what would Rainmeter let update about 18 times per second, wich is the ~amount of images your eye can catch up. :ugeek:
however this would cause incredibly high CPU usage.
i think you are not able to compare a musicplayer with Rainmeter

Re: Rainmeter IDEEA :-?
i prefer 1 update per second
Zero at programing, zero at writing codes, so far 2 at making images
But I'm good at copy/paste, and I not always like this

sorry for my bad explanation.
i just wanted to point out, how insane it is to use an updaterate like 40

personally i always try to update as often as possible, while always trying to hold Rainmeter's resource usage as low as possible.
i have some skins with 333 as update, but they don't cause any high usages :P

Actually folks XION is and audio player:
http://xion.r2.com.au/
A most excellent player, but does not get a lot of Reviews for some reason, even more skinnable than Winamp.
I use a portable version on my Thumb-drive when I am out.
But can Rainmeter develop a controller. I will have to do some home work :geek:

I agree. In fact, if it had a media library, I'd still use it. And, skinwise, I think too that it's better than winamp.sgtevmckay wrote:A most excellent player

Re: Rainmeter IDEEA :-?
:-? .... i nice point there with the UPDATE RATE .... but ... i was thinkin like this .... pls DOWNLOAD XION .... and search FOR ALEXIS SKIN ..... before the skin loads an animation starts
... i down know what it uses but its so SMOOTH !!! .... and fast .... and search for the atom skin
... i mean .... it moves fast and smooth and has low cpu usage
thats my point off view
