[Suggestions] Google Talk Client

Hi, I'm new here so I don't know if this is the right way to ask for a suggestion, but it looks close enough. If an admin could tell me how to make it correct that would be very helpful. Anyway, I'd like to request (not entirely necessary but it would be nice) a Google Talk client feature, where you could chat with your friends directly from the desktop, without having to actually log in to Gmail. Thanks in advance for the help!
