!SetVariable: Why won't my alarm reset?

The alarm goes off, but the variables aren't reset to zero. Why?

You do realize that using !SetVariable does not actually change the variables set in the INI skin file. It only changes the value set in memory. To permanently change them use !WriteKeyValue.
