Rainmeter crashes upon opening

I installed Rainmeter and tried opening it, only to have it crash. I reinstalled and did it again, only to have it crash again. I tried downloading the latest stable release as well, 2.3.3, and it also crashed when I tried opening it. Any idea why?

Then make sure you have the correct ".Net Redistributable Package", and "Visual C++ 2010 SP1 redistributable package" from here: http://rainmeter.net/redist/

Then download the latest release of Rainmeter (currently the 2.4 Release Candidate) from here: http://rainmeter.net
