Thank You Rainmeter

Post by null »

Hello,

I wanted to say thank you to the Rainmeter devs and the community. I recently had a computer problem where my computer would randomly shut itself down and I didn't know why.

I needed a way to quickly tell at-a-glance what was wrong with my system, but I also didn't have much screen real-estate to keep various full-sized monitoring programs running 24/7. Instead, I made a custom Rainmeter theme, and it really did the job nicely!

Using Rainmeter, I was able to track the problem down to my videocard overheating (the fan died). With my custom theme where I implemented dynamic colours, Rainmeter even allowed me to safely shutdown my computer before the GPU could hit 100C.

So again, I really wanted to thank the Rainmeter devs and the community. Rainmeter is really an amazing tool with great power, functionality, and flexibility! My videocard is currently being RMA'd and I am using a cheap backup GPU in the meantime =)

Here are some screenshots of my Rainmeter.
