Default to AntiAlias=0 for String Meters
Tell me if I'm in the minority here. But I have almost never encountered a line of text in Rainmeter that didn't look better when antialiased than not. Nor have I seen very many skins, by any author, which forego antialiasing. So what do you say we make it the default behavior? The alternative would still be available, and it would save the rest of us a few hundred lines of code.

Interesting proposal.
I utilize AntiAliasing and not in my skins, there is a sort of retro feel that I go for in some skins, but you almost wouldn't recognize it.
As for a default on???
I do not know: give me a couple of days to stew on the pro's and cons.
An immediate concern I have is in regards to the folks that already have Antialias=1 instituted
This would have to be unaffected as most skins are still 3 years or older

Concur.. I use it every time.
Sarge, it wouldn't effect any skin with AntiAlias=1 or AntiAlias=0. No change at all. What it would change is any skin that didn't have AntiAlias at all would now in effect have AntiAlias=1 (new default) instead of AntiAlias=0 (old and busted default).

What amount of trouble would it bee to add an amount of Antialiasing?
The current Antialiasing is thin, and has little to no effect on images?
I propose this as a long term proposal and consideration
As for the current proposal: I am in
Yes :!:

Well so far it's unanimous. I think the only time you would want AntiAlias=0 is if you were specifically looking for a pixelated look. Perhaps an 8-bit theme or something?

Not 100% sure you would always want it on images, but on text for sure.

On text sure.
