We had a discussion in another thread about how to rotate an image around its own center. One good solution was posted by user Smurfier, and I thought it would be useful to have the approach saved for future reference.

.... i usually was makeing rotator and haveing problems calculating the exact center by counting the pixels x and y and divide them in 2 but this is great
