Web Parser issue

Apologies if this is in the wrong area, but I am having a few issues with what i believe is the web parser. I ran the traffic light skin, and have a red light. I've used Rainenv, and will attach that text to the bottom of this post. I checked my firewall, and rainmeter is added as an exception. I run AVG, and it doesnt appear to have any problems with rainmeter. I tried several different skins, but have had a repeated result with no rss feeds or gmail.
If this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move it, and let me know if i can offer any other information that may help my issue

Edit: Ive since checked the log, and It seems im getting an error, That the system cannot find webparser.dll (1634) Error Code 2. Is there a way i can fix any links to that file? It exists in rainmeter\plugins.

Can you double check your Internet Explorer options and be sure you don't have anything selected for "proxy" in settings other than "no proxy"?

Can you pull up the "About" dialog, and under "Plugins" see if WebParser if being loaded ok and what version info it has?

Ok, let's eliminate any possible problems with UAC or permissions.

Exit Rainmeter

Install the latest beta version of Rainmeter from: http://rainmeter.net/cms/ but when installing, select "Portable installation" and let it install to C:\Rainmeter.

It should start up when the install is done. There is an RSS feeding using "Lifehacker" at the bottom right in the default skins. Is it working?

You might try that. I would also try doing a complete clean uninstall http://rainmeter.net/cms/Tips-CleanUninstall being sure that the C:\Program Files\Rainmeter folder is completely gone, then re-install. Maybe there is / was just something borked with your WebParser.dll file somehow.

Looks like the RSS is indeed working. I'll grab the skins I used to use and recheck, but I daresay it's been fixed. Thanks for all your help! Probably just some bad association with the webparser.dll somewhere, i'd wager.

Strange. I'd be quivering with suspicion myself, and would be running both my antivirus and MalwareBytes AntiMalware just to ensure something isn't lurking out there "touching" executables in C:\Program Files.
