File missing after installation.

Post by rohans »

I installed the Rainmeter 2.1 recently and manually installed the C++ runtime library, but whenever I tried to run the program I got an error message saying, "The program can't start because MSVCP100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling to fix this problem."

I reinstalled the program many times, even tried it with the beta version, but it didn't work!

Any guesses as to what went wrong?

Had a similar issue with an other programm.

It says you just don't have the MSVCP100.dll.
In this case I would do these things:

1. - Search for this file on your pc. If you found it anywhere, copy the file to C:\WINDOWS\System32 ( On XP 32, or something similar to yours system).
? Or maybe copy the file to the Rainmeter direction ?.

2. - Or try re-installang the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package

3. - If you don't find the file, you could download the dll file from the internet. BUT ATTENTION when you do this, you should be careful where you download it.
This would my last alternative.

But wait with re-installiing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and download a dll file, a dev could has a better solution.
Rainmeter - You are only limited by your imagination and creativity.
