Re: New Wifi Status Plugin
@sgt: thanks for doing all those tests, everything looks solid other than the refresh issue. I posted a new build which should fix that problem as well, it is in the first post (v1.5). If you still get any error message let me know what the error code is.
Re: New Wifi Status Plugin
Apparently issue ironed out.
At ;east in Vista 32bit.
i will continue testing, and see about HUD Vision Skin Wireless skin rebuild
That requires a lot of refreshed
Get back to you soon

@subliml, can you make sure you have the right version of the plugin ( you can check by rightclicking the rainmeter tray icon, then go to about, and scroll to the plugins tab) Also are you getting the error with code "Too many handles open" ?

Re: New Wifi Status Plugin
I am getting the following error after 3 refreshes:
---------------------------
Rainmeter
---------------------------
Unable to open WLAN API Handle!
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
The version in about says for WiFiStatus.dll says 1.3 - what SHOULD it say? I know your RAR archive is named v1.5 but should the DLL be reporting that as well? I have completely deleted the old versions and their parent folder, created a new folder with the new plugin in it and still getting that error above. The datestamp on the DLL says modified "‎Today, ‎June ‎27, ‎2009, â€â€Ž2 hours ago"

Re: New Wifi Status Plugin
@subliml, the about dialog should report the version as v1.5 (this is what it says for me with the newest build in place) ! If it does not then that means you are running an older build! I wouldn't pay attention to the modification / creation date of the file. The version is hardcoded into WifiStatus.dll, and it should not report anything other than v1.5 unless you are using an older build.

Re: New Wifi Status Plugin
DOH! Just realized that I had not been copying the DLL into the plugins folder since v1.3...
firing it up now.
EDIT: ...and it works flawlessly. thanks!
