Stopped Displaying Temperature

Post by bhs67 »

Rainmeter stopped displaying the temperature. It displays the degree icon, but no number. This is what I use:

Code: Select all

Manage Rainmeter
... MiniWeather > Just the Text > Just the Text.ini
"Just the Text.ini" contents:

Code: Select all

[IncludeVariables]
@Include=#@#Variables.ini

[IncludeBase]
@Include=#@#Base.ini

;================================

[WeatherCurrentTemp]
Meter=String
MeasureName=MeasureWeatherCurrentTemp

InlineSetting=Face | #Font#
InlineSetting2=Color | #Color#
;InlineSetting3=Size | (#Scale#*48)
InlineSetting3=Size | (#Scale#*80)
InlineSetting4=Weight | 300

Text=%1°

AntiAlias=1

[WeatherCurrentDescAndLocation]
Meter=String
MeasureName=MeasureWeatherCurrentDesc
MeasureName2=MeasureWeatherCurrentCity
MeasureName3=MeasureWeatherCurrentRegion

InlineSetting=Face | #Font#
InlineSetting2=Color | #Color#
;InlineSetting3=Size | (#Scale#*24)
InlineSetting3=Size | (#Scale#*40)
InlineSetting4=Weight | 300

InlineSetting5=Size | (#Scale#*16)
InlinePattern5=.*#CRLF#(.*)

Text=%1#CRLF#%2
;,%3
StringAlign=LeftCenter

X=(#Scale#*32)R
Y=([WeatherCurrentTemp:H]*0.5)

AntiAlias=1
DynamicVariables=1
This "Just the Text.ini" has worked for many years.

Go to:
C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\<your skin folder>\@Resources

File name: WeatherComJSONVariables.inc

Change APIKey variable to:

Code: Select all

APIKey=71f92ea9dd2f4790b92ea9dd2f779061

The same here.
The log says:

[*]Invalid TimeStampFormat: %Y-%m-%dT%H:%M (MiniWeather\Just the Text\Just the Text.ini - [@ForecastDay5SunsetTime])[/Strike]

A (more or less rhetorical) question: on those old packages the API key was old for long time. This didn't change in last days. Why all these same question related to API key then?

My Weather Meter has no display at all. In the log I see
Invalid TimeStampFormat: %Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S (Gadgets\Weather Meter\Weather Meter.ini - [@ForecastDay2MonthLong])

I don't know where the gadgets directory is. How should I change it?
I don't see this file in the skins folder or below
WeatherComJSONVariables.inc

Just speculating here, but some keys might have different "expiry" dates. Plus, the changes might be regional and gradual.

There is no gadget directory, but skins folder. In case you were looking for a Gadgets folder, it's normal you didn't find it. The Skins folder, which contains the skins installed to your computer, is located here: Documents\Rainmeter\Skins. In most common case the exact location of this folder is C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins, but this might be different, depending on the settings of your computer. To find exactly where this folder is placed, right click Rainmeter icon in the Notification Area and click Edit settings. The place of Skins folder is stored as SkinPath option under the [Rainmeter] section of the opening file.
I don't have installed the Gadgets skin package, so am not entirely sure about how is this package built, however if you identified the location of Skins folder, you'll find into it a Skins\Gadgets folder (this is the root config of the skin), which should contain a @Resources folder. WeatherComJSONVariables.inc is placed most probably into a Weather folder existing into this @Resources folder, or maybe into another of its subfolders.
