But when your Windows is f#$%^& enough to where unticking Read Only and running the installer as Admin do nothing, this error appears when you do Standard Install, which dosen't align with what the user chose when installing. Additionally, in the error message, the folders to where Rainmeter is supposed to be installed don't appear, and the Browse button is clickable on Standard Install.
A slight problem with fixing the wording around for this, if it were to get fixed, is all the translations have to change this too.
The error that triggered the user to reinstall Rainmeter, it's just loading for a few seconds and crashing, I don't know if c0000005 Access violation is because of the messed up Install or Windows itself.
As far as I recall, there have been similar reports by other users on this in the past, and if I remember correctly some of those were eventually solved one way or another (too tired to use Search button to find and link them at the moment).
I guess you know that it would help to have some context to the bug, i.e. in which circumstances does this happen (e.g. non admin user account, what should be read only for it to happen, etc.), so that folks can reproduce and debug the issue in order to hopefully fix it or find a solution to it if needed. The symptoms alone are described already and good to have, but I doubt they're enough for a satisfactory resolution...
