Skin for showing Internet Provider

Post by Musket7416 »

I see skins that show if the VPN client is active, however I have my VPN connected at the router level. In WhatsMyIP, it shows a different ISP than my real one. Is there a skin that can show the ISP so I can see that I am on VPN?

The real ISP, I don't think so. The ISP detected online, probably, if you find a site providing it without the data being hidden behind Javascript. In other words, on such a site, if the ISP is visible in the address' page source, then it can be extracted from it by a WebParser measure:

Comparing the detected ISP with your real one might then be a way to know if you're on VPN or not. Not a terribly reliable way, but, unless there's a more potent PowerShell method for it, it's as good as it gets.

Check https://www.speedtest.net. It shows the ISP, so it could be parsed
