Wikia source for lyrics is apparently defunct

Post by Yincognito »

Just checked today the NowPlaying PlayerType's Lyrics value sources, and it appears the LyricWikia source is closed:

I know this isn't a priority, but maybe it's time to start looking for a comprehensive alternative to the still working Letras Brasil source, so the option won't depend on a single source.

Thanks for reporting, I have removed LyricWikia from the measure.

Unfortunately, I don't think there are many "free" resources out there anymore. Everything is going the "API" key route, which is understandable.

Ok, thanks. I'll let you know if I find another free source that can be parsed, if I ever start looking - it'll depend on you whether you deem such a source to be feasible to be added to the measure or not. ;-)

I'm using www.musixmatch.com and have had pretty good luck.
