Customize.org open to uploads again!

Customize.org http://customize.org/browse/latest had experienced a run of malware and spam a couple of months ago (just like dA) and to deal with it, they installed a virus scanner and blocked uploads for awhile so that the moderators could clean up the site.

The scanner is not perfect, but they are trying to find a better solution - so you still have to be careful in what you download.

But the best news is, that the block has been turned off and the site is open again to upload all your skins!

If you see any problems there with spam or malware, give me a shout at http://customize.org/karmat and I'll look into it. The site allows moderators alot more freedom to deal with issues than dA does. Now get uploading!

I actually though that site had died, they didn't clarify why you could sign up but then upload nothing. Mystery solved...

I know, when I started modding there recently I just spent my time deleting malware and spam, then I started noticing that any new upload was either a wall or screenshot! I sent in a report with some suggestions with the strongest one being that they start allowing uploads again. Turns out the guy was on a long honeymoon and was trying to get through all his email!

Keep your fingers crossed that the malware crap doesn't happen again! And I'm glad to see that Seahorse has uploaded his skins, hopefully many will follow suit. I put a notice at WC and dA and some other types of skins are starting to come in now.

I'm waiting on posting mine until I've finished with some badly-needed updates, but I'll certainly plan to post when they're ready. :)
