Rainmeter 1.0 available

Post by Rainy »

New Rainmeter version available:

A clean installation is recommended:
  • Backup your skins.
  • Uninstall the old version.
  • Remove the Rainmeter folder from Program Files if the uninstaller didn't do that.
  • Remove the Rainmeter folder also from your My Documents and %APPDATA% folder if it exists.
  • Install the version 1.0.
If you are upgrading from older version (e.g. 0.14) note that the 1.0 will read the skins from your My Documents folder and the settings are now stored to the %APPDATA% (C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Application Data\Rainmeter or C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter) folder so you shouldn't make any changes to the files in the program folder.

The new file locations are used only if the Rainmeter.ini is not found from the program folder. If you still have the Rainmeter.ini in the program folder Rainmeter will work in the portable mode and will store everything to same folder where the Rainmeter.exe is located (i.e. the same way as the previous versions worked).

Great job Rainy!

I'll need to test Vista Rainbar 4.5 with this and make sure everything works properly :)

I would like to thanks Rainy and all of those that assisted throughout the realization of this project.

Installed, works great
Zero at programing, zero at writing codes, so far 2 at making images
But I'm good at copy/paste, and I not always like this

I know a lot of thanks has gone out to the devs and various individual supporters of Rainmeter, and well deserved, but......

I want to thank every member of the community and those that are not yet members, it is all of you that has made this possible, you all have proven that Rainmeter is not dead, and that there is a call. It is all of you that has helped one another, and supported Rainmeter, it's growth, and it's support.

It is all of you that have shown passion for an excellent product, even through the lost years.

Rainmeter is today, because of all of you, and the drive that has asked you to request the resurrection.

As of right now there is over 42,938 downloads, and this because of the drive that all of us has shown.

I do want to thank Rainy for stepping up and allowing the growth of Rainmeter once again.

I also want to thank all of the dedicated members of the community, you passion moves us all forward, and make s all of us seek the limits and as for more from Rainmeter.
It is a beautiful Rainmeter day :D

Thanks to everyone. Thanks to all of you who have brought great and wonderful laughter, and joyous tears to my eyes. :D

Thanks for this great gift

I like the CPU meter as the new tray icon.
