Little hint if a font refuses to show up.

I figured this out after some frustrating trial and error.
Even if your font is .TTF format, and it's installed, and you restarted Rainmeter,
and you know the exact family name... in some cases it still doesn't show.
It just won't work.

This is because fonts have permissions built into them, these determine whether
or not the font can be embedded in e.g. PDFs. If this is set incorrectly, the font won't
appear in rainmeter even if your code is perfect and the font is properly installed in windows.

There are four levels of permission, the highest level (the one we want) is "Installable".
To change a font's permissions you need a font editing app. Unfortunately there aren't a lot
of free good options for windows. The one mentioned in the manual is no longer supported.

If you can get something like fontlab's Font Studio, it's pretty easy:
File --> Font information --> expand Names & Copyright --> Embedding.
Change the dropdown to "Installable (everything allowed)". I think you may need to choose
file --> generate font rather than just closing and saving. Install the freshly generated font
and it should now work in Rainmeter.*

*Remember to exit and restart rainmeter using the raindrop icon in the system tray.

would this also help if the font appears distorted or incomplete in rain meter?
