Hello..
I am new to Rain Meter..
and i have learned enough regarding themes and configuration n bla bla..
However, i need to know how can i change the general settings of rain meter..
e.g
I want to know:
1-How can i stop rain meter to run when windows boot up..??
i want to start it manually whenever i feel like..
I remember the option with which rain meter prompted me during installation.. it asked whether rain meter should start with windows boot up... and i clicked yes!
Now want to change it...
Help!!!

Re: Rain Meter General Settings?
Just remove the shortcut to Rainmeter from the "Startup" folder in your Windows start menu.

Re: Rain Meter General Settings?
Thank you for addressing my issue..
Ok i ll remove the start menu short cut..
and then i have to start it by accessing the Program Files in Windows Drive... right??
I have Docklet of Rain meter in Rocket Dock as well...
I hope i dont have to remove that too... to ensure no Short cuts remain??

The one on my desktop image is my own creation, and not really done in a way that it can be distributed. However there are lots of "speedfan" skins on devArt:

Hello JSMorley.
I hope that's your name.. if not, pardon me!
U had asked me to remove the Rainmeter folder from the start menu, i did that!
But rainmeter still launches when the windows start...
Removing the start folder has not proven productive!

That is actually not what I said to do at all...daadj wrote:Hello JSMorley.

"Just remove the shortcut to Rainmeter from the "Startup" folder in your Windows start menu."
Re-install Rainmeter over top of what you have now, so you get back the Rainmeter folder in the start menu, then carefully read again what I said to do...

Re: Rain Meter General Settings?
Easy way is to download Raunmeter, but during installation uncheck 'Automatically start with Windows'.
